E! Online - Patrick Swayze has always been a fighter on the big screen. Now's he's proving his warrior worth in real life.
AP - Millions of children and adults have seizures in the United States, but dying from one is rare. That only adds to the confusion and mystery surrounding the life and death of Jett Travolta, the 16-year-old son of actors John Travolta and Kelly Preston.
Lisa Marie Presley, friend to John Travolta and Kelly Preston and fellow Scientologist, has taken to her MySpace page to defend the couple after the tragic death of their teenage son Jett, clear up perceived misunderstandings about Scientology and relay how much the Travoltas gave to their son.
A new mom, Presley has been out of the spotlight for months since having twins in early October.
On the blog she writes in part:
Two of my very good friends, (John and Kelly Travolta ) the sweetest people in the world have just encountered the worst possible tragedy a parent could be forced to endure, the death of their son Jett.
My heart is crying and bleeding for them.
I personally would not have it in me to bury my own child.
I am writing this because I have noticed that for the most part, people and the media have been very sympathetic and respectful, but there are those certain ones that want to use this horrible tragedy as an opportunity to once again, blame and or attack Scientology?
Folks, as popular as it has been to discriminate and ridicule Scientology and Scientologist's in the recent past , Now is NOT the time...
It is not true that Scientologist's "Don't believe in " medical care , medicine or medical Doctors and that may have something to do with this terrible tragedy.
Just like anyone else, If one is sick , they go to the doctor, If a medication will make it better then they take it.
If they don't then they are an idiot and you can't blame their religion.
Whatever medical and or physical condition Jett had , I can tell you first hand that his parents were on a tireless, never ending quest to get and provide him with the absolute best care anyone could ever ask for and need, Medically, physically, emotionally, medicinally and spiritually.
I am not writing this to preach my beliefs, I am here to protect my friends.
AP - Who's the fiance?
In a heartfelt MySpace blog post, Lisa Marie Presley expresses her deepest sympathies for her "very good friends," John Travolta and Kelly Preston, whose 16-year-old son Jett was killed by a seizure Jan. 2. "I wished I could be writing you under happier circumstances, but I cannot because two of my very good friends, the sweetest people in the world, have just encountered the worst possible tragedy...

Barack Obama has a big job ahead of him with a lot of responsibility and stress. Fortunately, there are perks, like a custom-built car that oozes machismo. Prototype photos of the president-elect's new limousine have hit the Web, and it makes Ah-nold's old Hummer look like a Miata.
An article from CNN explains that the car is technically a Cadillac. However, it has a lot more in common with a bomb shelter on wheels. The custom-built Caddy will transport Mr. Obama on Inauguration Day and, we presume, will also serve as his main set of wheels while cruising around town.
The Detroit News writes that General Motors, which owns the Cadillac brand, has been making presidential limos since 1983, when they "wrestled the job away from Ford." Assuming the finished product looks like the leaked photos, their newest limo has to be the most impressive one yet.
What sort of features does the car boast? Hand-stitched leather, run-flat tires, kick-butt communication features, bulletproof glass, and absolutely horrible gas mileage. According to CNN, many car enthusiasts "believe the overweight vehicle burns diesel" and will be far from the most efficient car on the road. Perhaps that's due to the car's weight. A piece from NBC adds that the car's armor is "reportedly at least 5 inches thick."
Hmm, maybe he'll score a hybrid if he wins a second term.
